Celebrating Pride Month and LGBTQ+ Employees at Rapport3

Pride month holds great significance at Rapport3 as we embrace our LGBTQ+ identifying employees. It serves as a dedicated period to celebrate their journeys with Rapport3. As a testament to our commitment, this year, we contributed £250 to Stonewall Charity, a remarkable organization tirelessly advocating for LGBTQ+ rights.

At Rapport3, we care about diversity and inclusion. Earlier this year we launched the Diversity Equality and Inclusion Forum (DEI) to give Rapport3 employees a space to discuss how we, as a company, can continue to be an inclusive employer, and give people a space to discuss ideas and issues that may arise so we can continually build upon the incredible workforce we have. As we approach pride month's end, we would like to highlight some of our LGBTQ+ identifying employees. To gain further insight and understanding, we caught up with three LGBTQ+ identifying individuals from our Rapport3 team, who shared their experiences and perspectives as queer individuals within our organization.

Meet Phill Grosset, a dedicated Product Development Manager at Rapport3, who has been an invaluable part of our team for over 8 years. Phill identifies as non-binary and came out while working at Rapport3. At Rapport3, LGBTQ+ employees are not only accepted but celebrated. Phil shares their perspective, stating, "Cubic is the first place I have worked where diversity has been actively promoted as a positive for staff, and also for the business (broader experience = better decisions)."

Introducing Matt Rogan, a talented Junior Developer who identifies as non-binary and has been an integral part of our team for 9 months. Matt emphasizes the support they have always felt at Rapport3. What sets Rapport3 apart for them is the company's genuine commitment to openly supporting inclusivity and diversity. Matt feels supported by Rapport3's culture of openness, knowing that speaking out on matters that may cause discomfort will be met with support from the company and their colleagues. Matt shares, “When I joined Rapport3 I was really happy to see 'All Gender Toilet' signage appear on the office toilet! I'm non-binary and this did make me feel welcome”.

Liam Booth, our CX and People Manager, shares his past experiences of feeling like an "other" in previous workplaces. However, his journey at Rapport3 has been remarkably different, characterized by overwhelmingly positive experiences. Liam expresses, "Since joining Rapport3, I have always felt comfortable and embraced for being my authentic self. There has never been a moment where I've felt the need to hide who I am or pretend to conform to certain expectations to feel included. The support from directors, management, and colleagues has been consistently present and uplifting."

Rapport3 is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where all individuals can thrive, bringing their true selves to work.
